This piece was created using a traditional Italian carving technique, known as “Batutto”, on the clear glass windows by using a cutting wheel on the lathe.

This was a fun experimental piece and one of my first attempts at picking the piece back up in the hot-shop and fire polishing in all the cuts made at the lathe. This fire polishing process makes the cuts shine!
