This piece is a series inspired by the delicate dance between chaos and order and how each provide safety and growth in our daily lives. You cant have one without the other. 

This neodymium sphere is a color shifting glass that changes from purple to blue under uv (purple)and florescent light(blue).  It was hand blown at the furnace and cut using various wheels on a lathe. The transition from the tops deep, organized chaos cut pattern shows a nice balance from the soft parallel line pattern below. The pattern is called ‘Batutto’ an Italian word for hammered.
