This body of work shifts away from the traditional vessel and moves toward panel-based compositions that explore line, movement, and spacial depth within a space. The panel functions as its own field of color and rhythm. Gestural lines move across the contrasting pink background—at times blending into the surface, and at others sharply resisting it. The panel overall holds more of a bold contrast and density, creating visual tension. Each color cane forms a dynamic interplay of variation and repetition. Using cane as a primary component rather than my traditional blown application, I approach the material as a fluid drawing.

The work also draws on the bold visual language of the 1980s and 1990s that shaped my childhood—bright, seamless linear graphics that filled television, textiles, music, fashion, and advertising. While referencing these pop influences, the panel emphasizes the era’s urgent, static energy. Each panel is fitted with UV‑reactive glass that glows under blacklight, adding an extra layer of luminosity and spectacle. The panel is made of acrylic, with the glass bonded using a strong glass adhesive.
